If you’re talking about the fighting at Archangel, there was actual shooting going on between the parties, so technically that was still a “hot” war.

    Historians are right!

The actions leading to the 1918 allied intervention on russia are like follow:

1.) Because Turkey enter the war on Germany side they close the border with Russia, as a consequence Russia was blockaded!

2.) Britain and friends try to open Russia for material aid but they could not because of Turkish opposition ( i like Turkey!)

3.) Russia was a giant with feet of clay! they got worse supply logistics, their railroads and rail networks were not capable to transport civilian goods and military personnel, because of that the Russian economy collapsed and the army could not be full!

4.) Well loved sentiment was on the rise against the executive power and to the war as a whole

5.) The Bolsheviks rose from well loved sentiment

6.) The western allies had sent guns to Russia to keep fighting, those weapons could not fall into rival hands! so they sent several mission to renovate your health those weapons

7.) It is the communist logic to reckon you are with me or against me
so they understood that to be an invasion against Communist Future, not because of the weapons, yet they did not have distress using capitalistic weapons for communist up rising!

8.) So yes, the west had sent men and planes, they fight but could not prevail, it was Britain, France, the United States and Japan!

    9) For those countries such an intervention does not deserve a foot print or foot note from their papers,lt was not vital to remember, for communists that was prove of western capitalism against communism, they never forgot

    You don’t.

The Cold War finished after WWII. We were “allies” with the Russians during the war but after that, we had different thoughts about how the world should be. Russia chose Communism and we took capitalism. The only reason we were allies is because of this statement: “The rival of my rival is my friend.” Russia was useful for that and that is ALL.
