@elvetankage These men were most certainly courageous…. The governments used brainwashing sensationalism, posters set up everywhere detailing the excitments and adventures of war…like it was a game. They were so emotionally charged with patriotism and the supposed exotic excitment of war that the fact that they may die seemed impossible. Most soldiers beleived the war would have been over by christmas.People these days have a choice, which i respect. People who dont go to war are not cowards.

@DonSoareses If you watch “The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones” series that’s now on DVD, you’ll see that he fought for the Belgian army.

@frostythesn0wman
If reckon they were also men who had barely any other choice than getting in the adjoin-line trenches.
Unless you were a qualified worker in an ammo factory or something like that, you could be sure you’d get sent in the adjoin-lines.

Yet another war based on lies. The dead died in vain. Truly sad.

I don’t see why people don’t reckon the fantastic war was as vital as ww2. It has a fantastic tale behind it. An archduke be assassinated, starting a whole world war.

And the military-industrial complex will be overjoyed. More saps positioned to be ‘right-believers’ in the romance of killing other people cold-heartedly to prove one’s er, ‘manhood’. The stockholders are DAZZLED.

Wow those men were courageous, I don’t know if I could keep my sanity if I was in a trench filled with mud, and the dead with the cold everywhere.
