It is bound in half leather fine binding (spine & hinge strips), and has purplecloth hardback boards. It contains several colour plates (two of which are foldout plates), and has many small black and white engravings in and amongst the text. Containing over 1600 pages, with dimensions to the book of 8" x 5.5" x 3" thick, and it weighs 1.4kg unpacked. The condition is fairly good, with the worst case of any indescrepancy being that the leather spine is starting to flake/crack in places, but it is only superficial and does not penetrate all the way through. Both boards are firmly attached with no splitting or weakness to inner or outer hinges, andthe boards are generally very clean with no significant marking. The contents are very clean and bright throughout, with no foxing, marking, loss or damage to pages or plates whatsoever, and text block is firm and secure with no detached or loose pages or plates.

UK insurance is covered for upto £46 by First Class Recorded Delivery, or for upto £500 by Special Next Day Delivery (cost £7.25). Overseas insurance is covered for upto £46 by standard airmail or Surface Mail services, but if any item exceeds this amount then buyer is required to pay for additional and enhanced cover (approx an additional $10), and this applies to UK also.
