Cartridge belt Y-suspender olive green woven material, manufactured by Mills Woven Cartridge Belt Co. and marked “MILLS” inside the outline of a cartridge logo, circa 1914. The metal clips used to assemble the buckles and loops also marked with Mills Co. identification and patent information. This style of suspender described in a circa 1914 Mills catalog as “No. 202 Mills Suspenders Navy and Marine Corps Model”. This style suspender occasionally shown in contemporary images of Marines wearing field equipment. (50364)
